OSLAVANY ENGINEERING PLANT (ST-OS) is a technically advanced and modernly managed medium-sized company with more than thirty years of history. In the Czech engineering industry, it ranks among fair players with a high degree of business ethics and social responsibility.
The company is based in the historical premises of the KUKLA black coal mine from 1911-1913 with its own cultural monument of the KUKLA mining tower and the entertainment and educational center Permonium®. With the support of European subsidies, this former brownfield was revitalized to its original form between 2010 and 2017 and rebuilt into modern engineering production.
The business activities consist of the production and supply of shock absorbers for all rolling stock, which are based on the results of its own development, which began in 1983. Based on many years of experience with precise metal chip machining, the company has been manufacturing and supplying technologically demanding parts for final producers according to foreign documentation since 2001.
It uses top production technologies for production and is actively involved in other innovative projects in the era of automation, digitization and robotization.
The company has an integrated management system certified according to ČSN ISO 9001:2015 and ČSN EMS 14001:2015 by the Czech Society for Quality.
In 2013, it adopted a commitment to social responsibility and integrated it into its corporate culture with clearly defined rules and principles that form the basic framework of corporate behavior.
In addition to high-end engineering production, the company has also been operating activities in the field of tourism and innovative education since 2012. To support this activity, ST-OS founded the Areál KUKLA-beacon of the region foundation in 2023.

2017 Re-engineering of ST-OS processes associated with changing the process organizational structure
The connection of production capacities with the latest technologies and cultural monuments of the mining tower of the KUKLA mine with the entertainment and education center Permonium® gave rise to a unique concept of history and future.
