The development and production of hydraulic shock absorbers has been a key part of the company's activities since 1983. The product spectrum covers the complete needs for primary, secondary, transverse, interchassis or intercar damping of passenger cars, locomotives, electric and diesel units, trams and subway cars.
The standard production program of hydraulic shock absorbers is complemented by special shock absorbers fitted with a piston rod position sensor, rotary shock absorbers designed for low installation and hydraulic control cylinders. All manufactured shock absorbers are tested on our own testing equipment.
As part of the application of experience in the field of hydraulics, the production program also includes the production of parts of hydraulic and pneumatic systems for drives, cabinets and chassis of mass transport vehicles.
Since 2018, ST-OS has been developing new generation advanced damping systems in cooperation with the design and technology development team of BUT in Brno, Pardubice University, VÚKV, VÚŽ.
These are semi-active types of dampers based on the magnetorheological damping system, which the company has registered as a utility model, as well as semi-active hydraulic dampers with a high speed damping response. With the support of the national carrier ČD, as, semi-active shock absorbers undergo operational tests on the railway.
Technological workplaces for the production of shock absorbers:
- Machine shop with fully automated CNC machining machines with material feeders
- Assembly workplace equipped with automated oil dispensers for completing hydraulic assemblies and functional units
- Rotary robotic welding up to a diameter of 450 mm, a maximum length of 500 mm, a maximum weight of 30 kg
- Damper test room for vertical and horizontal tests, including climatic chambers
- Surface finish it is carried out in our own paint shop with modern equipment for applying wet and powder coatings. The device enables environmentally friendly painting with phosphating pre-treatment
- Production of special packaging according to customer requirements
